It depends, a few times I have regretted not getting specific, because the holes that I left in my affirmations were then filled with the existing programming in my subconscious which was very 'limited' based on past patterns. So sometimes for me, the holes or gaps I leave in my vision/affirmation may endup filled with past limits.

But other times getting too specific has backfired, mostly because the specificity becomes an exercise in focusing on fears through their avoidance.

So its a dance. I would say get as specific as you can if you are feeling light, love & joy and are at peace and there is no resistance to anything. But if its becoming an obsessive exercise in avoiding pitfalls and fears, then get vague and stay vague, the results will be better than manifesting all the fears you are trying to avoid.

I think it all depends on what you are aiming for. One example would be $100. If I look for a $100 bill, I am limiting the possibility of it manifesting as well as the outcome. If I look for $100 in any way, shape or form, than the possibility of it manifesting is greater, as well as the outcome. In this example, I wouldn't want to set the limitations. Any way, shape or form would be ideal for receiving $100. On the opposite end of the scale is your example of looking for a relationship. If I set the intention for a relationship, it could come in any way. But if I set limitations, I can aim for a romantic, friendly or other type of relationship. I want to limit the outcome at the cost of the possibility of it manifesting, knowingly.
It all depends on what you are trying to achieve: accuracy or certainty.

Hi, Belinda!

Thank you for your comment and for reading! I totally agree with the the time should not be a concern when it comes to working out. We wonder if we have 30 minutes to go for a run, but have no problem watching some TV show for an hour.

I also enjoyed your comment on the term 'exercise'. It is useful to look at it differently, but for the purposes of these posts, I'll stick to the term as it is the one people will understand better. I am going to work on it for my own vocabulary though!

Cheers!

As a new "fan" of Affirmations Triggers, what a joy to read, as I return from a rewarding workout.
Must I say I agree at 100%+. Personally, I don't think time should be an issue when it come to exercising. People make time for the things they want to make time for. If we were to change our perception on exercising, it wouldn't require effort or planning. Our beings are in these physical bodies for us to enjoy and take care of. It was meant to be instinctive, natural and pleasurable. Exercise allows us to ground ourselves while offering our undivided attention so we can be intouch with our physical capacities and abilities. Exercise is a word I question. I like to think of it, as an act of Love to yourself.

In spirit,

Isn't the mind a wonderful thing? Amazing how we can simply change our thoughts and how it is we see things, and things change. Money is energy. We exchange energy everyday. When I first heard those words "money is energy", I got it, but I didn't quite see it. My experience with money stayed as that at that level of belief. As my consciousness grew, so did my sight, I began to see and experience that "money is energy."
