The ‘Law of Attraction’ is the final piece in the series of the ‘11 Forgotten Laws’. It is the one that has been discussed most, so out it is likely not forgotten anymore, especially since The Secret came out. It is summarized, rather elegantly, by the following line: “Never expect what you do not desire, and never desire what you don’t expect.” You get in life what you expect from it, so expect the things you want.
Now that you have had an introduction to all the 11 Laws, you can start living in harmony with them. The good thing is that there is a fair amount of overlap between the different Laws, so when you truly understand one, you are pretty close to understanding all of them.
Again, keep in mind that these Laws do not require your acceptance to play a role in your life. If you are skeptical as to the validity of these Laws, then simply try the following exercise: pick one of the Laws and apply it for 30 days. If you don’t notice any improvement in your life, let it go. If you do, however, keep applying it and see what else you can do with it. Have a good long weekend!
Until Tuesday,

The ‘Law of Compensation’’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. Bob Proctor puts the Law of Compensation like this: “What you are getting is a result of the efforts you are putting out there. If you want to have better results, you have to think of a new or better way to deliver that value. You must become the person of value to receive anything of value.” In other words, you attract what and who you are into your life.
This relates to another idea that “you attract what you are, but you you become what you think about.” So there is always that delay between when you change your thinking, how you view yourself and the world, and the corresponding attraction that takes place. So if you change your thinking and nothing seems to be happening, don’t worry about it so fast. Let it take place in your life.
Until next time,

The ‘Law of Success’’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. The Law of Success is the idea that whenever you do something, you get a result, and whenever you get a result, you learn something and thus succeed. This also strongly relates to the idea that there are no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ results; results are either taking you closer to, or further from, where you want to go, so they are either ‘effective’ or ‘ineffective’.
The main lesson that I get from the Law of Success is to keep at it and to adjust my approach based on the feedback that I receive. As long as, over time, I’ll do more things that will take me closer to my goals than further away, I’ll have no option but to realize my ambitions.
Until next time,

The ‘Law of Receiving’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. The Law of Receiving is essentially the idea that you must give before you can receive. This is the foundation that all tithing efforts are based on – that you must give away first before you can receive in return. And this doesn’t only work money. It also works with all other areas of life, like dealing with customers, personal relationships, etc.
The importance of giving is there as the other side of the coin for receiving because both constitute different aspects of ‘flow’. For flow to be present, the material needs to flow in and flow out. If you close off the ‘out’ valve by hanging on to everything, you automatically prevent more from coming in due to build-up of pressure. And hey, when you are giving of yourself, of your time, of your energy, and of your money, you become the type of person that people want to associate with. And healthy relationships with others never hurt anyone!

The ‘Law of Supply’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. This Law is based on the idea that everything originates from a single source (read: Energy), and since there is more than enough Energy out there, the basis for everything already exists. The other side of this Law is that there has to be a demand before supply can be realized. We had all the necessary materials to build airplanes since the dawn of time, but it wasn’t until we put that demand out there that we were able to actually do it.
So start with the assumption that whatever it is that you want to accomplish is possible. Put the demand out there and start paying attention and noticing the opportunities that become evident.
Until next time,

The ‘Law of Thinking’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. The ‘Law of Thinking’ can be paraphrased as ‘Thoughts Become Things’. This is a fundamental principle with the Law of Attraction and applying some logic to this will validate this Law.
Everything starts as an idea. We have no ability to do anything without first thinking about it. In fact, even the words I type are preceded by thoughts about what I am about to write. Every invention started in someone’s mind. Every action also starts in the mind. This is a very powerful idea to understand and to internalize.
Once you feel the magnitude of this Law, you can start to pay attention to what occupies your mind most of the time. Are you focused on what you want or are you worrying about getting what you don’t want? Which area of your life are you thinking most about? Are your thoughts aligned with the vision that you have for your life? These are very important questions to answer.
Until next time,

The ‘Law of Increase’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. There a number of ways to explain the Law of Increase, but what it means to me is that the more I do something, the easier it gets, and the larger my capacity to do bigger and better things becomes.
I like to use the following analogy, courtesy of Tony Robbins. Imagine that all your current abilities are described by a circle. Whatever is within a circle, you can do; whatever is outside the circle, is a stretch for you or is outside of your current abilities. Once you increase your abilities, your circle grows. But it does not grow a bump on its circumference in the area where you increased your skill. Instead, the entire circle grows, so the area covered by it is that much bigger and now your abilities have increased in other areas as well.
Now this does not mean that if you learn how to fly a plane, you automatically know how to weld. Instead, while you were learning to fly the plane, you learned some things about yourself, about others, and maybe even about the world. The things that you learned increase your capacity to do better in other areas of life and make it easier to acquire new skills. Makes sense?
Until next time,

The ‘Law of Forgiveness’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. This Law relates to the ‘Law of Non-Resistance’ and to the ‘Law of Sacrifice’. Forgiveness is about letting go, but on an emotional and mental level instead of a physical level.
Hatred and resentment are powerful destructive emotions and as long as you harbour them in your heart and mind, they will stay in your life. By reminding yourself why you have certain feelings toward a certain person, you give that energy (much like with the ‘Law of Non-Resistance’, you give energy to that which you resist). Also, much like with the ‘Law of Sacrifice’, once you let go of the powerful destructive emotions, you create space for something better to come in and replace it.

The ‘Law of Sacrifice’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. Sacrifice sounds like a rather negative word, and in my mind at least, brings up images of bloody rituals practiced thousands of years ago. All it means though, is that to get something, you need to give something up. Ideally you are giving up something of a lower value for something of a higher value. By letting go, we create space for the new thing to come in and replace the old thing.
Let me give you an example. If you have a couch that you want to replace and it is sitting in your living room, it will continue to sit there for a long time to come. If, instead, you give the couch away, you’ll end up with an empty space in your room where the couch used to be. But it won’t stay empty for very long, as you’ll be motivated to go and actually get a new couch. Does that make sense?

The ‘Law of Non-Resistance’ is the first in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. “Whatever you resist, persists”. When you resist something, you actively give it energy. We have talked before about how the Universe deals with absolutes – in other words, there is no distinction between ‘I want’ and ‘I do not want’. You always get the thing in question. That is why the Universe can’t tell the difference between you actively trying to attract something versus you trying to resist something. In either case it’s coming your way.
Does that mean you cannot have undesirable things around you? Not at all. We live in a complex world that we share with other people. As long as you are dealing with other people, you’ll come across desirable and undesirable people, events, and circumstances. The lesson here is not to try to push away the undesirable. Just let go and let it be. Give your energy to what you want.
Until next time,
