The ‘Law of Attraction’ is the final piece in the series of the ‘11 Forgotten Laws’. It is the one that has been discussed most, so out it is likely not forgotten anymore, especially since The Secret came out. It is summarized, rather elegantly, by the following line: “Never expect what you do not desire, and never desire what you don’t expect.” You get in life what you expect from it, so expect the things you want.
Now that you have had an introduction to all the 11 Laws, you can start living in harmony with them. The good thing is that there is a fair amount of overlap between the different Laws, so when you truly understand one, you are pretty close to understanding all of them.
Again, keep in mind that these Laws do not require your acceptance to play a role in your life. If you are skeptical as to the validity of these Laws, then simply try the following exercise: pick one of the Laws and apply it for 30 days. If you don’t notice any improvement in your life, let it go. If you do, however, keep applying it and see what else you can do with it. Have a good long weekend!
Until Tuesday,

The ‘Law of Obedience’’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. The core idea behind the Law of Obedience is that we must respect the Universal Laws and work in harmony with them in order to achieve the results we want. Disrespecting them by trying to work against the Laws shall leave us tired and frustrated.
We must realize and remember that Laws just are. They do not require our understanding, recognition, praise, or acceptance in order to work. They always work, for everyone, in every situation – no exceptions. Efforts to change this are futile. The only thing that we can do is to gain the understanding of how the different Universal Laws work and start working with them so that we can get predictable results. Without understanding, it’s hit and miss all the time.
Until next time,

The ‘Law of Compensation’’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. Bob Proctor puts the Law of Compensation like this: “What you are getting is a result of the efforts you are putting out there. If you want to have better results, you have to think of a new or better way to deliver that value. You must become the person of value to receive anything of value.” In other words, you attract what and who you are into your life.
This relates to another idea that “you attract what you are, but you you become what you think about.” So there is always that delay between when you change your thinking, how you view yourself and the world, and the corresponding attraction that takes place. So if you change your thinking and nothing seems to be happening, don’t worry about it so fast. Let it take place in your life.
Until next time,

The ‘Law of Supply’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. This Law is based on the idea that everything originates from a single source (read: Energy), and since there is more than enough Energy out there, the basis for everything already exists. The other side of this Law is that there has to be a demand before supply can be realized. We had all the necessary materials to build airplanes since the dawn of time, but it wasn’t until we put that demand out there that we were able to actually do it.
So start with the assumption that whatever it is that you want to accomplish is possible. Put the demand out there and start paying attention and noticing the opportunities that become evident.
Until next time,

The ‘Law of Thinking’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. The ‘Law of Thinking’ can be paraphrased as ‘Thoughts Become Things’. This is a fundamental principle with the Law of Attraction and applying some logic to this will validate this Law.
Everything starts as an idea. We have no ability to do anything without first thinking about it. In fact, even the words I type are preceded by thoughts about what I am about to write. Every invention started in someone’s mind. Every action also starts in the mind. This is a very powerful idea to understand and to internalize.
Once you feel the magnitude of this Law, you can start to pay attention to what occupies your mind most of the time. Are you focused on what you want or are you worrying about getting what you don’t want? Which area of your life are you thinking most about? Are your thoughts aligned with the vision that you have for your life? These are very important questions to answer.
Until next time,

The ‘Law of Increase’ is the next in the series of ‘The 11 Forgotten Laws’ that should expand our understanding of the Law of Attraction. There a number of ways to explain the Law of Increase, but what it means to me is that the more I do something, the easier it gets, and the larger my capacity to do bigger and better things becomes.
I like to use the following analogy, courtesy of Tony Robbins. Imagine that all your current abilities are described by a circle. Whatever is within a circle, you can do; whatever is outside the circle, is a stretch for you or is outside of your current abilities. Once you increase your abilities, your circle grows. But it does not grow a bump on its circumference in the area where you increased your skill. Instead, the entire circle grows, so the area covered by it is that much bigger and now your abilities have increased in other areas as well.
Now this does not mean that if you learn how to fly a plane, you automatically know how to weld. Instead, while you were learning to fly the plane, you learned some things about yourself, about others, and maybe even about the world. The things that you learned increase your capacity to do better in other areas of life and make it easier to acquire new skills. Makes sense?
Until next time,

I have heard people claim that the Law of Attraction does not work for them. It’s a really bizarre statement, since how can a law work for some and not for others. If it is a law, then it must by definition work each and every time, for every person, in every situation. What could be happening is that it works differently to how people expect it to work.
The basic premise is that you attract into your life whatever you are aligned with in terms of your thoughts (conscious and non-conscious) and feelings. You are always attracting things into your life, but you may be attracting things that you don’t necessarily want. That being said, there are other laws in the Universe that have not been popularized to the same extent as the Law of Attraction through the movie The Secret.
I came across some material online by Bob Proctor where he talks about the ‘11 Forgotten Laws’ that relate to the Law of Attraction. The way Bob Proctor put it was that the Law of Attraction is a single ingredient in a cake, but you need other ingredients to make it. Over the next little while I’ll cover the different laws, which will hopefully give you some useful information.
Until next time,

Relationships with other people play a vital role in our lives. It all stems back to the times our ancestors lived in caves, when creating, building, and maintaining relationships with other members of the tribe is what allowed them to survive in that environment. It simply was not possible to mature and leave offspring without it. As the society evolved, that basic importance of relating to others has not changed.
Today our survival, success, and even happiness depends on the quality of the relationships that we are able to develop. When we are born, it is essential for us to create a bond with our mothers in order to survive. Our happiness is correlated to the health of our relationships with other people. And success is really all about ‘who you know’.
Can you make it ‘on your own’? Sure. But it will never be as quickly, or to the same degree as when you involve other people. Connections are huge, and this holds true around the world. At the end of the day, people can open doors for you, and I’m willing to bet that there is a very strong positive correlation between the number of such people that you know and your success.
Until next time,

What a difference it makes when you are excited and motivated by what you do. It is a rather obvious statement in and of itself, but the implications are pretty serious. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been on both ends of the ‘excitement’ spectrum. There were times when the things I was doing felt like a total grind and there were other times when I couldn’t wait to get working on something. The difference in the quality of experience, and in how I perceived life at those different times, is tremendous.
It would be amazing if every day work was that challenging, that exciting, and that motivating. If you have achieved that state, that is incredible. Chances are that regardless of what you do, there will be days that feel like a drag. However, iif most of the days are the opposite, then you have probably achieved something that most people only dream of.
I do believe that every person has had the two types of days, even if the days of great excitement were not due to work (though if it was work-related, that should be easier to explore and analyse). Looking into what factors made the day so great should provide you with some valuable insight into what you may want more out of your work. Then, hopefully, as you integrate more of those factors into your daily job requirements, you’ll have more of the times when your vocation becomes your vacation.
Until Monday,

Maybe this stems from our pre-historic times where survival was dependent on staying with the group, but to this day people find it very difficult, if not outright impossible to go against the ‘group-think’. Essentially, if the group is doing something, an individual who is part of the group will find it very difficult to go against it. We see evidence of this everywhere.
Crowd control is a very serious issue for law-enforcement agencies, since if aggressive or violent behaviour gets beyond one or two individuals, the mob-mentality takes over and at that point it’s like the G20 Summit in Toronto. In companies group psychologists showed time after time that it is good to have a person on a team who is comfortable with challenging ideas. Otherwise, there could be a number of people who are afraid to speak up, and end up going along with the decision they don’t like. In a classroom setting, good teachers tell their students to ask any question that they may have, since chances are, there are other people in the class with the same question who are simply afraid to ask.
This also ties into personal growth. An individual will find it very difficult to succeed at anything, if the people around them are not supportive. That is why it is a wise decision to surround yourself with people who are where you want to be and have the things you want to have, or at least are heading that way. Otherwise, you’ll try a couple of things, and by doing so you’ll start to stand out from the group. That will feel uncomfortable for most people, and the group will pull you back to where you started.
I’m taking a day off tomorrow to enjoy the long weekend. Until Monday,
V
