Join me in knowing…

That this is a vibrational Universe, where Energy is all that is, and where the flow of Energy into form, through form, and out of form is the only thing that is happening. Like all other processes in the Universe, this flow of Energy is governed by a precise, impersonal Law that just works with the exact inputs provided, and does not care who uses it, nor for what purpose. Knowing that, I know that I am made up of molecules, which are made up of atoms, which are, in essence, pure Energy. Being a part of this vibrational Universe, like a wave is part of an ocean, whereas I am an individualized entity with all the qualities of the larger whole, I know that I activate the Law via the vibrations that I send out through my thoughts and feelings as a result of the pictures that I hold in my mind. Knowing that, here and now, I place a new picture in my mind – a picture of health, wealth, love, and happiness. As the picture builds in my mind, I feel differently and emit a different vibration. That vibration activates the Law which has no choice but to bring that picture into my experience, and for that I am thankful. I am deeply thankful for my life and for the countless manifestations in it. I release the picture from my mind in to the Universe and know that through the immutable action of the Law, everything that comes my way from this moment forth, brings me closer to the realization of that picture. I let go, and so it is.

Applying Your Knowledge

Friday, March 12th, 2010

The blog posts from the last couple of days hopefully showed you that knowledge is abundant and available to anyone who wants to get it. That was the case in the past as well, except that prior to the wide availability of the Internet, it may have cost you a whole bunch of cash. Today, a lot of knowledge is freely available at your fingertips and the only commitment you need to acquire it is some time.

But knowledge, as I wrote about before, is only potential power, and it is the application of knowledge that gets you the results you seek. One of the applications of knowledge is the sharing of what you know with others for a fee, however that can become more tricky as someone can just as easily find that same information if they just commit some time. That being said, there is one main advantage that you have even if you are just re-distributing knowledge, and that is people being lazy and not willing to do the work themselves.

The safer approach is to put your own twist on what you know by innovating with your mind to present that knowledge in a way that is unique to you and to you alone. That is the more tricky part, but at the same time it is also the strategy that will keep you in a league of your own, since no one can be better than you at being you.

Learn Where To Find Information

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Yesterday’s post inspired me to use the rest of the week to talk about information, learning, and application. Today I want to share my thoughts on the importance of figuring out where to find information.

There was a time, not too long ago, when it was vital to know and memorize different information – facts, figures, details about events, etc. My parents came from that time and they both have a lot of interesting information stored in their heads because of that. At that time knowledge was important, because it was not easy to access information. Encyclopedias were probably the best resource for doing research. In fact, even in my middle school days, we used to look through encyclopedias for information.

I feel that the Internet changed everything. Suddenly a monstrous amount of data is available online only a quick search away. Memorizing seems like a futile objective, since anyone with a computer and an Internet connection can find that same information in a couple of minutes.

So the important skill to develop is to find the information you need quickly. As great as Google search is, there are better search strategies and there are worse ones. To be totally honest, Google did make it pretty darn simple to find what you are looking for, but learning how to search well will save you time every time you search. And with a number of searches that each of us does every day, that can add up.

Essentially, it comes down not to knowing the information itself, but rather to knowing where to get that information quickly and efficiently.

Web – The Best Resource

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Today I want to share how thankful I am to be living during a time where technology is so advanced. And while I say that, I can’t help but think that people 100 years ago were probably thinking the very same thing, and people 100 years from now will look back at our technology and wonder how we lived in such primitive conditions. In either case, I am amazed by the availability of information on the Internet. You can find almost anything you want out there!

I have had a problem with a fan in my bathroom. It seemed like the switch was broken – the fan just stayed on regardless of the position that the switch was in. Since the fan still worked, and since I could unplug it directly, I was not in a lot of hurry to fix it. But eventually I got out to the Home Depot and got a new switch. To my great surprise, replacing the switch did not fix anything.

Now, I sort of get how electricity works in a house, but for a new switch to NOT turn something OFF is out right bizarre. I know the switch worked properly at one time, and then just stopped working completely. I did not believe that I closed the circuit somehow as to render the switch useless since I just re-connected the wires in their same positions, so it must be something else.

Well, here comes the Internet. After 5 minutes of searching, I came across a page where it talked about how a fan is sometimes wired into a humidity censor that will also control its operation if the humidity gets above a certain level. There is a humidity control device in the living room, so I turned it off, and VOILA, the switch works as expected. Amazing. I should have turned to the web a long time ago! Anyway, finally the mystery of a switch is solved!

The lesson? Don’t overlook the web as a fantastic resource for information!

What Would You Do If…?

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

1. Your monthly income became your weekly income?
2. Your annual income became your monthly income?

Bob Proctor asks these two questions in one of his seminars, and the interesting thing is, most people cannot answer them with any amount of detail or clarity. When he asked a couple of people, they responded with “I don’t know…”, mainly because they never really thought about it. And to be honest, when I first heard him ask those questions, I had no answer ready in my mind either.

So here is another question for you. Is it at all surprising that people who do not give much thought to what they would do with drastically increased incomes, never actually increase their incomes significantly?

I gave it quite a bit of thought and figured out exactly where I would channel the increased flow of abundance. I found that exercise quite a lot of fun. If your answers to the above two questions are unclear, I would encourage you to give it a much thought and figure it out. And when you do – when your picture is clear – you will be able to open yourself up to the opportunities to make it so.

Join me in knowing that…

This is a Universe where Energy is the only thing that is and where the flow of Energy is the only thing that is happening. Science teaches us that Energy cannot be created or destroyed and that it is the fundamental stuff behind all existence. Understanding that, I know that I am, fundamentally, an energy field operating in a much larger Energy Field of the world that surrounds me, individualized by the frequency of my vibration. And since energy cannot be created or destroyed, then everything I seek must already be here. So right here and now, I consciously increase the frequency of my vibration and become a magnet for all the things in resonance. Increased frequency means increased Energy, and with increased Energy there is more love, more happiness, more joy, and more abundance. I am deeply grateful for the profound simplicity of the world I live in, for my incredibly creative mind, and for the understanding of my perfect self. With unconditional gratitude I plant my picture into Mind and turn it over to the action of the Law, knowing that it is already so in the Absolute and that it must also be part of my experience. I know this as my Truth, I live from it, and so it is!

Don’t Focus On What You Don’t Want

Friday, March 5th, 2010

And as a spin-off from yesterday’s post, I also want to make sure that you don’t focus your energy and attention on knowing what you don’t want. Sure, there are things that you don’t want to have and experience in your life, but don’t focus on that – instead focus on the opposite of that. So if you don’t want to be alone, focus on having friends; if you don’t want to be broke, focus on abundance.

As you may have heard, the Universe cannot interpret the negative of anything. Not wanting something and wanting something is vibrationally identical because you are still energized about that something. Essentially the Universe takes the absolute value of the things you are talking about. Another concept to note is that your subconscious cannot tell the difference between the energy directed at yourself and energy directed at someone else. So if you are calling someone an idiot, it is the ‘idiot’ that is perceived, and not that it is someone else that you are actually talking about. Maybe this is why many wise people have said that you should send love out to everyone else – maybe it is so that you interpret it as love for yourself?

Now you may find this concept rather obvious, but I still hear a lot of people tell me with much greater ease what they do not want instead of what they do want. You’ll ask them what they want next year to be, and they say “I don’t know…I know that I don’t want to lose my job though”. Umm…OK. With that attitude, you just might…

So what do you want? Take the weekend to ponder that question!

Until Monday,

Be Clear About What You Want

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

I believe that we sculpt our experiences with our feelings, which are often a result of our thoughts. That is why you will hear from all the different sources that if you change your thinking, you will change your life. So if thoughts are the starting point, then you need to be very clear about what you want. Clarity gives you power.

I like to compare this to a process of going to a professional designer, tailor, architect, or someone similar. If you are very clear about what it is that you want them to do and create, you will get exactly what you envisioned. If, however, you are unclear and hazy in your description, then you are inviting imagination and creativity from those people, and there is a good chance that what they will come up with will not be exactly what you wanted.

So, get as clear as possible on the life you want to live, the experiences you want to go through, and things you want to have. Clarity will make it a lot easier to bring those ideas in to your reality.

Until next time,

Do You Believe?

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Prior and during the Olympic games there were a number of commercials running asking Canadians if we ‘believe’ in winning the Olympic games. The theme song of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, ‘I Believe’ by Nikki Yanofski, talks about the belief and the power of the nation as one. As you can see, belief has helped Canada win the Olympic games.

And yes, Canada did win the Olympic games. It’s the gold medals that count – the number of events that the country has won, and not reached second or third place. Sure, silver or bronze is a great achievement, but then getting to the Olympics in the first place is an achievement. In any case, counting the total medals seems to be a North American thing and if you go on the BBC website, Canada is in the first place as it should be!

And what a great accomplishment it is! Canada has never really been a power house in the Olympics, and here we are winning the most gold medals ever won in the Winter Olympic Games, the most gold medals ever won by a Canadian Olympic Team, and all that done on the home soil!

I am very impressed by and proud of what the Canadian athletes, and all the people who have supported the games, have accomplished and am grateful to live in this amazing country and this beautiful province.

So, what do you believe about yourself? Your environment? Your country? Your world?

Until next time,

Thinking Outside The Box

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

I am deeply grateful for the ability to be in Vancouver during the Olympics, and most importantly, for the amazing experience of witnessing Canada win their 14th gold medal in hockey! As you can imagine, the streets were crowded with people wanting to see the game, and even though the game was scheduled for the afternoon, at 9 AM people lined up around the block to get into pubs and restaurants. The outside screens weren’t much better, since it was difficult to see the screen with so many people around. We needed to find a different vantage point. And we did.

Right across the street from the large LED screen at the Robson Square there is a Chapters, and it was empty! People were crowding the street trying to peak at the action on the screen in-between the heads and arms of the people in front of them, while we just went into Chapters, got to the second floor, and pulled up some comfy reading chairs right to the glass to watch the entire hockey game above the crowd! Some people noticed us up there and followed suit, and by the time the game got started that section of Chapters was packed!

I have to thank the Chapters management for not kicking a loud crowd out of their store and for even bringing some ice-cream sandwiches and candy for people to snack on.

So where in your life can you have the crowd follow you instead of the other way around?

Until next time,
