The Universe Knows

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Do you know how to beat your own heart? If you do, please get in touch with me and tell me, because I have no idea how I do it. All I know is that it beats – it started beating before I was even born when I had no consciousness and no awareness. So this tells me that something inside of me, or maybe outside of me, knows how to beat my heart even though I am clueless as to how to do it. Though in reality, since we are all energy anyway, inside of me and outside of me is really the same thing. And the same applies to all other autonomic processes in our bodies – we do not know how to execute them, but something does.

That something, I believe, is the Universal Intelligence. And if you have been reading my blog, you probably read posts about how all of us are connected with the Universal Intelligence through our subconscious minds. It is the place of all knowledge and all ideas and it is the place where new ideas come from and pop into our heads.

So, let us apply that logic to the ideal lives that we want to live – if you are living your ideal life, congratulations! – I would like to know whether you agree with what I am about to say. At this point, I do not know what I need to do or how I need to do it in order to live my ideal life, but something inside of me does, and a very important part, I think, is to recognize that. So what I need to do, is to turn over the thought and image of my ideal life to the creative power of the Universe and act on the nudges from the Universal Intelligence that I feel inside.

To be perfectly honest with you, this blog is a result of one of such nudges from the Universe. I felt an inspiration to start it and I just went ahead and did it. So far I have been enjoying the process and am constantly on the lookout for other clues. Affirmation Triggers is a result of one of such nudges as well, as is my attendance of the Centre For Spiritual Living inKelowna, where I have met a lot of amazing people who opened several very good doors for me.

If you have been listening to, and acting on, the nudges from the Universe, I would love to hear your experiences with it.

Until next time,

Spiritual Mind Treatment (2009.11.27)

Friday, November 27th, 2009

It’s Friday, so it’s time for another Spiritual Mind Treatment. The purpose of this treatment is to allow yourself to set your true intentions, have the power to do what is required, and ultimately manifest them in your life. This treatment was done by using ‘The Treatment Maker‘, which is a tool that helps you make your own treatments by inspiring your creative flow.

So as always, take these words as your own if you wish…

I know and recognize that everything – all time, all space, all form – comes from one single Source, one Spirit, one Love, one Divine Energy. I know that this Divine Energy is the life-giving substance of all life, it permeates through everything, and it is in me, for me, and around me. I know that this One Source takes form in infinite ways through Consciousness and that the Divine Law is the Director of that Energy. I know that any thought submitted to this Law is reflected back to me in form, and like a perfect mirror the Law is impersonal, does not judge, and works every single time without exception!

Since Divine Energy is all there is, I know that this Energy is in me and it is me. Knowing that there is One Universal Intelligence, One Life, which exists only in this moment, I know that I am alive and therefore I am connected within that Universal Intelligence and am subject to the same Law. I know that my thoughts manifest in my reality in accord with the very same Law that resulted in the world I see around me. And since Divine Energy is all there is, I know that all that I seek is already here…right now!

So here and now, I declare that I have at my disposal all the creative powers of the Source Energy, because I am that very Energy and because that very Energy powers every single cell in my body, and because the Universe is always on my side! Right now I am creating a mold for my intention, and since I am in tune with the Universal Intelligence, I know that my intention is true and it is pure. I know that I have the power of the Universe on my side and that I can use this Divine Power to do what is necessary to manifest my intention. I know that I have unintentionally manifested all of my surroundings, and now I am consciously manifesting the exact environment and the exact circumstances that I want.

I am grateful for the feeling of understanding as a result of realizing the truth of my being and the power of my intention. This is a magnificent moment in which I celebrate the freedom that Love inspires. I am deeply grateful for this realization and I know that the Universe is already in the process of filling my creative mold and bringing it into my experience.

So here and now, I turn over these words to the care of the Universe knowing that physical manifestations are in the process of becoming. I know that the Divine Law is an eager and willing servant and since I have spoken the Truth, I know that my word carries with it the power of the Absolute. I release my words and know that this Law, which never rejects or judges, but instead creates the physical manifestation from the embodiment of my intention, is already in action by Divine Order. This is done already in perfect harmony and so it is.

Until Monday,

How To Get Your Intention

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Over the last three days we discussed the intention blocks – the things that stand between you and your intentions and prevent you from accomplishing what you are after. Today I want to quickly talk about the process that Kenn Gordon recommended for people to go through in order to manifest their intentions in their lives.

1. Consciously connect with the Universal Intelligence and set your intention. The reason to connect with the Universal Intelligence is to listen for that nudge from within to do something. Quite often the things that we think we want, are really not the things we truly want. For instance, you may think that you want a red sports car, while you are really seeking freedom. There is nothing wrong with wanting a red sports car – all I am saying is that you are a lot more likely to accomplish your goals if the goals are in resonance with you. Now, to connect to the Universal Intelligence, do what feels right. For me it is simply going into a meditative state and paying attention to the feelings and nudges within.

2. Recognize that you have the power to accomplish your intention. On many occasions we talked about how you and everything around you is energy and that you are subconsciously connected with the Universe. You need to recognize that, since you are one with the Universe, you can draw on Its energy to have enough power to accomplish your goals. You may be one of the lucky few who naturally feels the power within, but most of us, myself included, need that little bit of conscious work to see the power within.

3. Finally you need to have the patience to do what needs to be done and trust that what you are doing is taking you closer to your intention. Often we simply do not stick to the plan long enough and stop digging before we hit the gold. There is a story that I heard where a fellow bought a mine with hopes of finding gold. He kept digging and digging and eventually gave up because he did not find anything. He sold the mine for relative scraps, and the person who took over had to only dig 3 feet before he hit gold. Just think about it, how many times in your life did you give up and stop before the results came through? It is quite possible that your results were right around the corner. Now the past is in the past, but lets learn from it and make sure not to repeat the mis-takes we have made.

Tomorrow I will do a Spiritual Mind Treatment on this week’s topic of eliminating intention blocks and having the power to do what is necessary long enough to get the results you are seeking.

Until next time,

If You Lack Commitment To Accomplish Your Goals

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

Lack of true commitment is the ’second intention block’ and keeps many people from accomplishing their goals. We set long term goals, but have very short attention spans, and when we live in an environment where everything is becoming faster and takes less time, it makes even more difficult to see the long term goal through. Kenn Gordon used a really cool analogy; we set an intention to create financial abundance in our lives on Monday, and by the time Friday rolls around, we are disappointed and discouraged because our finances did not change. If you want to accomplish your goals, and I am talking about the long term goals here, you need to do what is necessary to make them happen, and part of that requirement is to give it enough time.

It is true, the Universe does not care and does not differentiate between something that we perceive as being a big goal and something that we think is a small goal. However, for everything there is a gestation period, and that is something that ‘The Secret’ did not mention. When you plant a seed, it takes a given amount of time to grow into a plant. When a baby is conceived, it takes 9 months for birth to take place. When a boat passes by in the middle of the lake, it takes a certain amount of time for the wake to get to shore. In each of those cases there are no instantaneous results, but the results are there every time after an appropriate gestation period.

The same applies to whatever it is that you want, except that it is virtually impossible to know the gestation period when you start. With a business, it is hard to know right away how long it will take for it to succeed, unless you are starting a franchise, where the gestation period can be estimated somewhat accurately. If you believe in what you are doing, if you believe in your goal and your intention, you need to stick to your guns and see it though. You need to do whatever it takes and you need to have trust and faith that it will work out in the end.

Sometimes you will want to get a certain client or a certain project and it will slip away from you. That often happens because you were not ready for that client or that project. It may have been too much for you to handle. So keep going. That being said, my disclaimer is that you need to pay attention to the feedback that the Universe is sending back to you. And this is quite often a difficult judgment call. I have seen many people who totally believe in their ideas, but the ideas never take off because they either suck, and in this case, no amount of faith and trust is going to help them. But there are also numerous examples like Google, where people did not believe that they would put a dent in MSN’s and Yahoo’s market share, and thought that Google was insane for thinking that companies would pay them for their Adwords campaign. But boy were they ever wrong! So this is a difficult call to make sometimes, though I am certain if you allow the Universe to nudge you, you will make the right decision.

Until next time,

If Your Beliefs Are Blocking Your Intention

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

Most people do not get what they want, whether it is a relationship, a work situation, or something else, because they have beliefs that block that intention from manifesting. Some of your beliefs create, what Kenn Gordon referred to as, the ‘first intention block’. Recognizing this is a very important first step in removing that intention block, and I look at it as an opportunity to get rid of some useless baggage that I’ve been carrying around that I no longer need.

Some of your beliefs are conscious, that is you are aware that you have them, many more are subconscious, meaning that you don’t even know about them. Consciously trying to figure out your subconscious beliefs can be a grueling, lengthy exercise. One strategy is to ask yourself what you have seen and heard when you were a child about the given topic. For instance, if you may consciously think that a loving relationship would be wonderful, but as a child you have seen your parents fight constantly, subconsciously you may be associating relationships with a lot of pain. And frankly, chances are some of the beliefs you won’t figure out anyway, because they are so deep that your conscious mind is not capable of going down that far.

Figuring out the beliefs that are blocking your intention can be a useful exercise, but that leads to a thought that ‘if I get rid of these beliefs, everything will be fine’. That is a little misleading, because individual beliefs are not in your psyche on their own. They are all interconnected and intertwined with each other creating a web of beliefs, and the entire web needs to be changed in order to accommodate the manifestation of your intention. How do you do that? Kenn said that one needs to surrender their entire belief system to the Universe and let the entire web come back with the necessary adjustments. Personally I struggle with the ‘how’ to do that, although I do have an idea.

It is to simply let go of the image of how things are supposed to happen. When we set a goal or an intention, we create a corresponding image of how it needs to unfold. And when it does not unfold as we expect, or shows up in a different form, we get discouraged. But, the ‘hows are the domain of the Universe’ (I am taking this straight out of The Secret). Our job is to plant the idea and let the Universe show us how to proceed. Let me give you an example. You are in need of some extra cash. Your mother calls you and says, ‘I know that money is tight right now, so why don’t I pay your rent?’, to which you respond with ‘No, thanks!’ because you are expecting the money to come through overtime at work. But isn’t it rather obvious that the Universe responded to your request via your mother? And you just said ‘No, thanks!’ to It.

In other words, set your intention and let the game play out. Your thoughts?

The Things That Stands In A Way

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

If you are anything like me, you have set intentions for your life (things you wanted to do or accomplish) and never achieved them. Kenn Gordon gave a phenomenal talk on this topic recently and I want to tell you about a few interesting points that he brought up. He said that the things that stand between you and your intentions are intention blocks, and there are two of them.

The first intention block are your beliefs – not all of your beliefs, but some of them. It is possible that it is just a single belief that is blocking your intention, but more often than not, there are several interconnected beliefs that stand in the way. For instance, you may have a belief that was created very early in your childhood that ‘money does not grow on trees’, and while that may be true in the literal sense, it is probably not the best belief to carry around in your mind if your intention is to create prosperity and financial abundance.

The second intention block is lack of true commitment. Most people, myself included in many cases, do not have enough personal will to stick to their guns and see something through till the end. We have an image in our minds of how something is supposed to work, and when our experience shows otherwise, we lose our belief in what we are doing. No wonder many people have large goals, but few ever accomplish them. If you study the profiles of people who have achieved something significant and made a difference, you’ll find that their paths were not that easy. It took a lot of courage, commitment, and perseverance to accomplish whatever it is that they accomplished.

I will talk more about these two intention blocks in the near two days, so stay tuned!

Spiritual Mind Treatment (2009.11.20)

Friday, November 20th, 2009

It’s Friday, so it’s time for another Spiritual Mind Treatment. Just so you are in the loop, we are currently working on an online tool, which we now refer to as ‘The Treatment Maker’, which will help you make your own treatments. It is still being developed and tested, but soon enough it will be available for your own use! Exciting!

So as before, take these words as your own if you wish…

This is what I know. I know that everything in this world is Energy and ultimately comes from one Source, one Spirit, one Power, one Infinite Intelligence! I know that this Infinite Intelligence is self-aware and self-conscious and It creates! It is the very act of being conscious that is creative and that is the only way the Spirit can express itself. I know that the Infinite Intelligence creates by impressing a thought or an idea in to the Creative Medium, a formless substance which I chose to call Soul or Energy, which then manifests the thought or the idea in the physical world. I know that this Soul, this Energy, cannot judge, evaluate, approve, or reject an idea submitted to it, and it is only capable of turning that idea into form. I know this to be the fundamental creative Law of our Universe. Like a mirror, it reflects the idea given to it in like kind. I know that this Creative Medium is like the fertile soil – it only knows how to nurture and grow the seed planted in it and has no capacity to distinguish or discriminate. And I know that an idea or a though is like a seed and the plant is the physical manifestation of that seed – always the same, always in kind!

I know that since everything is Energy, then I must too be Energy. This is self-evident. And since everything is Energy, and Energy is in unity, I too am in unity with the world around me – with the chair I am in, with the people next door, with the lake, with the mountains, with the trees, with you! We are all Energy, so how can we be anything but one? I also know that I am conscious and my body is the physical manifestation of this consciousness. While on a conscious level I appear to be separate from my surroundings, I know that on a much deeper, subconscious level I am one with everyone, with everything, and I am one with the Infinite Intelligence. I realize that my consciousness is simply a vehicle that allows for a part of this Infinite Intelligence to be individualized in the physical realm. And since I am part of the one Source, one Spirit, one Power, and since I am self-conscious and am capable of producing thoughts and ideas, I know that I too can plant my thoughts as seeds in the soil, this Creative Medium of the Universe. And I know that, according to the fundamental creative Law of our Universe, the seed that is my idea will grow in the Creative Medium and eventually manifest in my physical reality. And I know this to be the truth for myself and for all people.

So right here and right now I am planting a seed in the Creative Medium that is a blueprint for a fuller, more expanded, more aware mind – a mind that understands, grasps, and internalizes its connection with the Infinite Intelligence more and more every single moment. I am planting a seed for a more creative consciousness and for a better understanding of the principles and Laws of the Universe. And I know that as I am planting this seed, it is already coming to fruition and I am experiencing it as being more receptive to the Truth of my being and to my connection with the Infinite Intelligence.

I am deeply grateful, from the bottom of my heart for expanding my consciousness to a point where I am able to recognize and understand my connection with the Universe. I am thankful for being a part of this magnificent Universe and for being part of this awesome creative process. I am pleased to know that this process is available to everyone and that everyone is able to use it consciously to the degree that they internalize the principles. I am thankful that more and more people are open to seeing, understanding, and accepting the Truth of their beings I am humbled by the idea that I am helping others realize the Truth for themselves.

Here and now I release these words to the Universe and know that they are the Truth. I know this because I have spoken in accord with the Law and now the Law is on my side and is happily and willingly bringing my thoughts into my physical experience. I release these words and I know that they resonate with those who are ready for them. And so it is!

Until Monday,

Objectively Separate, Subjectively Unified

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

This is a really cool concept out of The Science Of Mind by Ernest Holmes. The title sums it up rather well – objectively we appear to be separate and individual, while subjectively we are all united – we are all one. Before I get deeper into it, I will just explore the terms used a little more.

Objective means two things: conscious mind and things external to the mind. Even though it sounds like two completely separate concepts, they are highly related. We observe, think, are aware, and live in our conscious mind. So the things that are external to our mind, like the screen that you are reading this on, are observed in our conscious mind. Subjective is the mind beneath the conscious mind – also known as the subconscious mind.

So objectively, to our conscious mind, we appear to be separate from everything and everyone else. We see ourselves as an individual living in our own little bubble. But we are all really energy, and all energy is connected and unified, so this separation is simply an illusion, and that is why Holmes says that we are subjectively all unified.

If you think about the times when you have had an idea just ‘pop’ into your head, your conscious mind, where do you think it came from? You obviously did not consciously come up with it. The explanation that I like is that the idea came from your subconscious mind. But how did it get there? From the Universal Subconscious that we are all connected to at all times. And although we are all connected to the Universal Subconscious at all times, we are all aware of that connection at very different levels. Most people do not even think beyond themselves and their own bubble. So my goal is to expand my awareness and to continuously improve the connection with the Universal Subconscious.

Until next time,

Trinity Of Being

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

Ernest Holmes in The Science Of Mind presented a really interesting concept about how all existence in life showcases the ‘Trinity Of Being’. In other words. there are three aspects to everything: the thing itself, how it works, and what it does. At the most abstract level of the Universe, the ‘thing itself’ is the Universe, Spirit, or the Infinite Intelligence (which are all different terms to describe the same thing, albeit maybe speaking more to the different attributes of the same thing). The ‘how it works’ are the Laws of the Universe, like the Law of Attraction. And the ‘what it does’ are the results of the Law, which with the Law of Attraction are the manifestations that we attract into our lives.

If you want to look at something more concrete, let’s look at gravity. Gravity is the thing, it works by having a force between any two objects according to a specific formula, and the result of gravity is that we stay put on the ground, apple falls off a tree, satellites orbit the Earth, the Earth orbits the Sun, etc, etc. Consider electricity: electricity is the thing, it works according to specific rules, and the result is light, heat, electric power, and whatever else we use it for that is within the laws. Consider a seed: the seed is the thing, the soil is the medium in which it grows, also according to specific laws of incubation, growth, and harvest, and the result is the plant itself.

It is quite interesting that everything has these three aspects to it – no wonder the number three is so important in religion and that there is the Holy Trinity in Christianity, and probably other religions as well (though don’t quote me on that).

I wonder, can you find an exception to the Trinity of Being? I’d love to hear it!

Until next time,

Real and Ideal

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

You can also think of this as West and East or Form and Spirituality. We are living in a world largely divided between the two aspects of reality. The division is quite real – we can see it in people’s lives and literally draw a line through the world that will divide it in two camps based on thought patterns and physical manifestations. It is only the very few, very aware individuals, who talk about the power coming from the unity of the two ideals. Even though I know that there are many more, I have heard only a handful of people talk about this in depth.

Think of ‘West’ as, well, the West. It is made up of the developed nations and is all about manifesting form and creating abundance and prosperity. The United States is THE country that comes to mind when I think of the ‘West’. There are no other countries who learned how to manufacture wealth as well as the United States does. And although people living in the ‘West’ have a lot of stuff, they are largely unfulfilled. Even though they have pretty much all the things that they desire, they feel empty inside and are ultimately not happy with their lives. You may be different – in fact you probably are different if you are reading this – but this is based on my own observations of the society that I live in.

On the other side we have the ‘East’. These are very ‘old’ and wise countries with thousands of years of active history and development. Their wisdom, I think, is what led them to see and feel the truth of our being. Many people in this part of the world meditate and are very spiritual, however they lack stuff. Sure, they may know the truth, but they are living rather difficult lives (in my opinion, anyway). This is currently changing, much the like the ‘West’ is becoming more spiritual, but a typical image of the ‘East’ is people sitting on top of a mountain in a lotus posture, wrapped in a sheet of fabric, and meditating for hours.

Kenn Gordon spoke on the integration of the two philosophies a little while back and I found the idea quite fascinating. It was not the first time that I heard it, though it was presented in a slightly different way. He said that the goal is to be integrated in both, ‘real’ and ‘ideal’ – have the the ’stuff’ and be ’spiritual’. This is what I have been working on over the last year or so, and I do not think that I am anywhere near the end of the road, since this very well may be a road with no end. But I will say that I feel a lot more at peace with myself now than when I started to walk down this road.

Your thoughts?

Until next time,
